Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to products and services purchased from PipeDream Digital. By purchasing a product or service, making a payment or agreeing to a written proposal, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

PipeDream Digital provides services including:

Starter, Supported and Growth website packages
Custom website design and development
Website hosting, maintenance and support
Google Business Profile optimisation and management
Additional website and digital marketing services
Digital products and downloadable resources

The work included will depend on the package, product or service purchased. Package descriptions shown on the PipeDream Digital website at the time of purchase form part of the agreement.

Work outside the purchased package may be quoted separately.

2. Website Packages

PipeDream Digital offers Starter, Supported and Growth website packages.

Each package includes a different level of website design, content, support and ongoing work. Full inclusions and current prices are shown on the relevant package page before purchase.

Website packages are ongoing hosted services and have a minimum 12-month term.

A one-off setup fee is charged when purchasing a new website package. This covers initial work such as setting up hosting, connecting or registering a domain, setting up business email and dealing with technical transfers where required.

The setup fee is separate from the recurring monthly package payment.

3. Payments

Payments may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider offered by PipeDream Digital.

Website packages

Website package payments are taken monthly using the payment method provided at checkout.

The setup fee and first monthly payment due will be shown at checkout before purchase.

Clients are responsible for keeping their payment details up to date and making sure payments can be collected when due.

Custom websites

Custom website projects may be paid upfront, in stages or using a monthly payment arrangement where offered.

The price, payment schedule and work included will be confirmed in writing before work starts.

Additional services

One-off services, additional work and other products will be charged at the price shown at checkout, in a quotation or as otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Failed Payments

If a recurring payment fails, I will contact the client and give them an opportunity to bring their account up to date.

If payment remains outstanding for more than 7 days, I may suspend the website, hosting, email or other services connected with the account until payment has been received.

Suspension due to an overdue payment does not cancel the agreement or remove payment obligations already due under it.

5. Minimum Term and Cancellation

Website packages

Starter, Supported and Growth website packages have a minimum term of 12 months.

During this period, monthly payments must continue.

Clients can give notice before the end of the minimum term so that their service ends once the minimum 12-month commitment has been completed.

After the minimum term, the package continues on a rolling monthly basis and can be cancelled by giving 30 days’ notice.

Cancellation can be requested by emailing hello@pipedreamdigital.co.uk.

Payments that become due before the cancellation takes effect remain payable.

When a website package ends, the website and services included with the package will be taken offline.

Cancelling early does not remove the obligation to complete the agreed minimum term, subject to any statutory rights that may apply.

6. Website Ownership

Starter, Supported and Growth websites

Websites supplied through these packages are provided as part of an ongoing PipeDream Digital service.

The website design, template, framework and build remain the intellectual property of PipeDream Digital.

The client does not purchase ownership of the website through their monthly payments and does not receive the website files or backend access when the service ends.

The client continues to own original content, branding, photographs and other materials they supplied.

Custom websites

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, ownership of a custom website transfers to the client once the full agreed price has been paid.

Third-party software, plugins, fonts, stock imagery and other licensed materials remain subject to their own licence terms and are not transferred where the relevant licence does not allow this.

7. Custom Websites Paid Monthly

Where a custom website is offered using a monthly payment arrangement, the payment term will be confirmed before the project begins.

Where a 12-month payment term has been agreed, those payments cover the cost of designing and building the custom website.

Ending the project early does not remove the obligation to complete the agreed payment term, subject to any statutory rights that may apply.

If payments stop during the agreed term, I may suspend the website until the account is brought up to date.

Once all agreed payments have been made, ownership of the custom website transfers to the client.

The client can then choose to continue hosting and support with PipeDream Digital under an available package or arrange their own hosting and take control of the website.

A reasonable website handover will be provided where required.

8. Providing Information for Your Website

Clients must provide the information and access reasonably required to build their website.

Depending on the package, this may include business information, services, service areas, contact details, branding, photographs, existing domain information and website content.

Starter clients are responsible for supplying the wording and images required for their website.

For Supported and Growth packages, I may write website content using information supplied by the client.

Clients are responsible for checking factual information before approving their website for publication.

Website information should normally be submitted within 6 months of purchase.

If the information required to build the website is not supplied, work may be paused. Monthly payments will continue because the package remains active and time has been allocated for the project.

Where a project remains inactive for a prolonged period, I may need to reschedule or close the project.

9. Turnaround Times

I aim to have website package builds ready for an initial review within approximately 7 to 10 working days once everything required to begin the build has been received.

This is a target rather than a guaranteed completion date.

Timescales may change depending on the size of the website, client response times, revisions, technical problems or circumstances outside my control.

Custom website timescales will be agreed separately.

10. Revisions and Changes

Reasonable revisions are included during the initial website build.

This allows clients to correct information and request reasonable changes before the website goes live.

Requests that substantially change the agreed structure, design, content, functionality or original scope may be quoted as additional work.

Once the website is live, ongoing changes are subject to the inclusions of the client’s package.

11. Growth Package

The Growth package includes ongoing website development using SEO principles.

During the first 12 months, this includes up to 6 additional service or area pages, planned and added over time where appropriate.

The choice and timing of these pages may take into account the client’s services, locations, keyword research and available search data.

SEO work does not guarantee particular rankings, traffic levels, enquiries or positions in search results.

After the first 12 months, the Growth package continues on a rolling monthly basis. The website and available search data may be reviewed to decide where future work would be best focused.

Additional pages or work outside the package allowance may be quoted separately.

12. Google Business Profile Services

PipeDream Digital may provide Google Business Profile optimisation and ongoing management.

Google Business Profile optimisation applies to an existing Google Business Profile. It does not include creating or verifying a new profile unless this has been expressly agreed.

Ongoing management may include posts, review responses and profile management according to the service purchased.

Google controls its own platform, verification processes, suspensions and search results. PipeDream Digital cannot guarantee that Google will approve changes, verify a profile or give a business a particular position in Google Search or Maps.

13. Domains

Where a domain is included with a website package, PipeDream Digital may register and manage the domain on the client’s behalf for the duration of the service.

If the client completes their minimum term, gives the required notice and has no outstanding payments, the domain can be transferred to the client when the service ends at no additional charge from PipeDream Digital.

A domain will not be transferred while the account is in arrears or where the client is attempting to end the service before completing the agreed minimum term.

Transfer of the domain does not include transfer of the website. Websites supplied through Starter, Supported and Growth remain the intellectual property of PipeDream Digital and will be taken offline when the package ends.

Where a client owned their domain before joining PipeDream Digital, ownership remains with the client.

14. Business Email

Where business email is included, I may set up or connect the number of email accounts included with the relevant package.

Clients are responsible for keeping copies of emails or other information they need to retain.

When moving existing domains or email services, I will take reasonable care, but email migrations and DNS changes can sometimes cause temporary disruption.

If a website package ends, email services supplied as part of that package may also end. Clients should arrange an alternative email service and save any information they wish to keep before their service ends.

15. Hosting, Maintenance and Security

Hosting, SSL and website maintenance are included where stated in the purchased package.

I take reasonable steps to maintain the security and availability of websites hosted by PipeDream Digital.

Websites rely on third-party systems, hosting infrastructure, WordPress, plugins and internet services. Occasional downtime, technical problems, maintenance or third-party outages can occur.

I will take reasonable steps to resolve problems that fall within the services I provide.

16. Client Content

Clients must have permission to use any logos, photographs, text, trademarks or other material they supply for their website.

PipeDream Digital is not responsible for copyright or other claims arising from material supplied by a client where the client did not have the right to use it.

Where I source stock photography or other licensed material, its use remains subject to the relevant provider’s licence.

17. Digital Products and Downloads

Digital products may include guides, templates, documents and other downloadable resources.

Unless stated otherwise, digital products are for the purchaser’s own personal or business use.

They must not be resold, redistributed, shared publicly or presented as the purchaser’s own product.

Where a purchaser has statutory cancellation rights, those rights will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law. Accessing or downloading digital content may affect cancellation rights where the legal requirements for immediate supply have been met.

Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

18. Refunds and Cancellation Rights

Refunds are not normally available simply because a client changes their mind after work has begun or a service has been provided.

Where a purchaser has a statutory right to cancel, that right will be honoured.

Where permitted by law, any refund following cancellation after work has started may take account of work already completed or services already supplied.

Setup fees may become non-refundable once the work covered by the setup fee has begun.

Digital products that have already been supplied, accessed or downloaded may not be refundable where applicable law permits.

Nothing in these terms removes or restricts any cancellation, refund or other rights that a purchaser is legally entitled to.

19. Website and Marketing Results

A website, SEO work or Google Business Profile service can help a business improve its online presence, but results vary.

PipeDream Digital cannot guarantee particular Google rankings, visitor numbers, leads, enquiries, sales or revenue.

Search engines and third-party platforms control their own algorithms, policies and systems and may change them at any time.

20. Liability

Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.

PipeDream Digital is not responsible for losses caused solely by matters outside my reasonable control, such as third-party platform outages, hosting failures or changes made by external services.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so or removes statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

21. Third-Party Services

Websites and services may rely on third-party providers such as hosting companies, domain registrars, payment processors, WordPress plugins, email providers and Google services.

Their products and platforms are subject to their own terms, availability and technical limitations.

If a third-party service changes, closes or becomes unsuitable, an alternative service may need to be used.

22. Reviews and Portfolio Use

I may contact clients to ask for feedback or a review.

Unless a client asks me not to, I may display completed website work in the PipeDream Digital portfolio, on social media or in other PipeDream Digital marketing.

Confidential information supplied by a client will not knowingly be published.

23. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to PipeDream Digital’s services, packages or legal requirements.

Updated terms will apply to new purchases from the date they are published.

Significant changes to the agreed price, minimum term or core service of an existing agreement will not be made without appropriate notice or agreement where required.
